  • CDE Lightband Warns Customers Of Bill Scam

    July 11, 2008
Several CDE Lightband customers have contacted CDE Lightband in the past few days to report that they may have been the target of a scam artist.  The customers received telephone calls from someone claiming to work for CDE Lightband.

According to reports, the caller informs the customer that his electric bill has not been paid and he needs to make a payment over the phone using a credit card so his electricity will not be disconnected.  When the customer questions the validity of the call, the caller hangs up.

CDE Lightband does not call customers regarding overdue accounts or to request payment.  A safe way to avoid this scam is to call CDE Lightband at (931) 648-8151 between 8AM–6PM, Monday-Friday and determine account status. Customers may also get account information on the CDE Lightband Web site at www.clarksvillede.com.
