CDE is proud to be a system wide “Partner in Education” with the Clarksville-Montgomery Co. School System. Every year CDE distributes report card covers for K through 5th graders and makes electrical safety presentations for K through 12th graders.
CDE provides sponsorship for 6th and 7th grade students involved in 4-H for a four-day camp held at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. The camp includes hands-on learning centers, safety demonstrations, trips to steam plants and hydroelectric dams, a tour of the UT-Knoxville campus, computer centers, swimming and other camp-related activities. Participants typically build one or more projects such as an extension cord or lamp to take home.
CDE is actively involved in the Clarksville community. Every year employees donate thousands of man-hours to help make Clarksville a better place to live. Participating in the United Way "Days of Caring"
